Ghost of Tsushima: Locations

During my time on Ghost of Tsushima, I was fortunate to be responsible for the Environment Art in over 30 unique locations throughout the island of Tsushima. For a large part of the project, I worked with Melissa Altobello @https://maltobello.artstation.com/ and Ryan Harvey on creating the challenge content for the title. Early in the project, I was also a part of a team that tested location density on the island to help decide what was appropriate to populate the vast open world. This included generating ideas for unique locations that helped the world come to life.

This mountain view was a scene I created working with one of our Mission Designers on a side quest to obtain a special armor set. The purple flowers were a beautiful blast of color that helped lead the player to the secret location.

A duel Arena where you must fight for that special armor. I worked on building out the locations along the path of purple flowers. This was definitely one of my favorite tasks on Ghost.

Clip of some set dressing work outside of a Mongol Camp. One challenge I faced is making each Mongol camp feel unique. In stark contrast to the beautiful world of Tsushima, Mongol camps were chaotic and offered some contrast to the surrounding world.
